Future Continuous & Future Perfect — Gelecekte Devam Eden ve Tamamlanmış Eylem

Future Continuous (will be + V-ing), gelecekte belli bir anda devam ediyor olacak eylemi anlatır: Türkçedeki '-iyor olacağım' yapısı. Future Perfect (will have + V3) ise gelecekte belli bir zamana kadar tamamlanmış olacak eylemi anlatır: '-mış olacağım'. İkisi de plan yaparken ve kibarca soru sorarken çok işe yarar.

Ne zaman kullanılır?

  • Future Continuous: gelecekte belli bir anda devam eden eylem

    This time tomorrow, I'll be lying on the beach.

  • Future Continuous: kibar soru (birinin planını sormak)

    Will you be using the car tonight?

  • Future Continuous: olağan akışta zaten olacak şey

    I'll be seeing Mert at work anyway, so I can give it to him.

  • Future Perfect: belli bir zamana kadar bitmiş olacak eylem

    By Friday, I'll have finished the project.

  • Future Perfect: gelecekteki bir noktaya kadar geçen süre

    Next June, we'll have been married for ten years.

Türklerin sık yaptığı hatalar

✗ Tomorrow at 10, I will work.

✓ Tomorrow at 10, I'll be working.

Gelecekte belli bir anda devam eden eylem için 'will be + V-ing' gerekir.

✗ Until Friday I will finish it.

✓ By Friday I'll have finished it.

'-e kadar bitirmiş olmak' anlamında 'until' değil 'by' kullanılır.

✗ By 2030, I will have buy a house.

✓ By 2030, I will have bought a house.

'Will have' sonrası V3 gelir: bought.

✗ When you will arrive, I'll have cooked.

✓ By the time you arrive, I'll have cooked.

Zaman bağlaçlarından sonra 'will' kullanılmaz; Present Simple gelir.

Konuşmada nasıl kullanılır?

  • Konuşmada 'I'll be' ve 'I'll have' kısaltmaları kullanılır; 'will have' genellikle /wɪləv/ gibi okunur.
  • 'Will you be...?' sorusu 'Will you...?' sorusundan daha kibardır, çünkü rica değil plan sorar: 'Will you be staying for dinner?'
  • Future Perfect'te en önemli kelime 'by'dır: 'by tomorrow', 'by the time you arrive'.
  • Bu yapılar B2 seviyesinde konuşmanızı zenginleştirir ama günlük dilde aşırı kullanmayın; çoğu zaman 'will' veya 'going to' yeterlidir.

Birbirinize gelecekteki belli anları sorun ve hayal edin. Önce Future Continuous ('This time next year, I'll be...'), sonra Future Perfect ('By the time I'm 50, I'll have...') kullanın. Sorular: 'What will you be doing this time tomorrow?', 'What do you think you'll be doing ten years from now?', 'What will we have achieved by the end of this year?', 'Will you be working late this week?'
